Perils & Princesses is a Tabletop Role Playing Game (TTRPG). A group of players take on the roles of fairy tale adventurers. One person acts as the game master who conveys the game world to the players. If you’re familiar with Dungeons & Dragons, it’s kind of like that…but far less complicated.

P&P is for families, new players and seasoned gamers alike. Generally, kids as young as 9-10 have a great time playing with a grown up game master to help with rules and convey the game to them.

The core rules in digital or print form, along with the included character sheets and a few sets of polyhedral dice or a digital dice-rolling app of some kind. The GM will also need to have an adventure scenario prepared. A starter adventure is included in the core book. Plenty of snacks are good to have too.

Broadly speaking, Perils & Princesses uses a lot of rules-light OSR and NSR conventions. Inspiration is taken from games like The Black Hack, The Glog, Mausritter and Cairn.

Perils & Princesses creator Ryan Lynch does all the illustration, design and creative direction. Editing and adventure writing are done by a small team of collaborators including Destiny Howell and Sean Foer.
